We've been busy here in the Blue Flag international team redesigning our newsletter to include best practices from our network, as well as national and international achievements. We've also added a social media section where you can take a sneak peak at what people say about us. 

In June, whilst many people are planning their summer holidays in the Northern Hemisphere, we celebrate the awards of our beaches, boats and marinas - 4560 worldwide to be precise! An ever growing number as we reach yet another milestone. Plenty of Blue Flag awarded sites for local communities and tourists to enjoy during their holidays, and always more environmental education activities to be held at our awarded sites. Last year we reached more than 160,000 people through our network's environmental education activities - and we'll do even better this year!

These educational activities are at the core of Blue Flag's values, and we're happy to present to you how the smurfs are playing an active part in this.  Enjoy, and happy Summer to all those of you in the Northern hemisphere!
